Event display at cernbook
How to display Digits
- Login to cernbook
- go to /home/trd/SMComm/SM_Test_CERN_Ana/eventdisplay
% ln -s /home/trd/SMComm/SM_Test_CERN_Data/sm08_commission_May2007/digit/"TRD.Ditits.*.root you want to display" TRD.Ditits.root
% alieve
root [0] .x $ALICE_ROOT/EVE/alice-macros/init_trd.C
- Then, in the Reve GUI, you click "Digits" and open a TRD.Digits.root file using "Open" button,
Select Event 0 for dcs readout cosmic data,
Select SM 8 at Chamber selector(-1 means all detectors), otherwise you will see some complaining message due to not existing SM reading,
Select Digits in the Data selector,
Then you will see displayed digits in the GL viewer. If you zoom in, you might see cosmic signals. :)
How to display Clusters (reconstructed points)
- Login to cernbook
- go to /home/trd/SMComm/SM_Test_CERN_Ana/eventdisplay
% ln -s /home/trd/SMComm/SM_Test_CERN_Data/sm08_commission_May2007/recpoint/"TRD.Recpoints.*.root you want to display" TRD.Recpoints.root
% alieve
root [0] .x $ALICE_ROOT/EVE/alice-macros/init_trd.C
- Then, in the Reve GUI, you click "Clusters" and open a TRD.Recpoints.root file using "Open" button,
Select Event 0 for dcs readout cosmic data,
Select SM 8 at Chamber selector(-1 means all detectors),
Select Clusters in the Data selector,
Then you will see displayed clusters in the GL viewer. If you zoom in, you might see cosmic signals. :)
How to display Digits & Clusters together
- Login to cernbook
- go to /home/trd/SMComm/SM_Test_CERN_Ana/eventdisplay
% ln -s /home/trd/SMComm/SM_Test_CERN_Data/sm08_commission_May2007/digit/"TRD.Ditits.*.root you want to display" TRD.Ditits.root
% ln -s /home/trd/SMComm/SM_Test_CERN_Data/sm08_commission_May2007/recpoint/"TRD.Recpoints.*.root you want to display" TRD.Recpoints.root
% alieve
root [0] .x $ALICE_ROOT/EVE/alice-macros/init_trd.C
- Then, in the Reve GUI, you click "Simulations" and open a galice.root file using "Open" button,
Select Event 0 for dcs readout cosmic data,
Select SM 8 at Chamber selector(-1 means all detectors),
Select Digits and Clusters in the Data selector,
Then you will see displayed digits and clusters in the GL viewer. If you zoom in, you might see cosmic signals1 cosmic signals2 cosmic signals3. :)
