Physikalisches Institut |
I am a quantum physicist, born and raised in France. Concerning my higher education, I was an engineer student at Ecole Polytechnique. I then did my PhD at Ecole Normale Supérieure de Paris under the supervision of Jean Dalibard. We experimentally studied the exotic dynamics and thermodynamics of two-dimensional quantum gases, including their superfluid behavior related to the Beresinskii Kosterlitz Thouless mechanism, the transverse condensation phenomenon and the related Kibble Zurek dynamics occurring in gases uniformly trapped in two dimensions. In 2015, I join the dipolar quantum gas group led by Francesca Ferlaino in Innsbruck for an extended postdoctoral stay until the end of 2020. Our team unveiled novel quantum states of dipolar systems, including quantum droplets, roton excitations, and supersolid. In February 2021, I join the Physikalisches Institut of the University of Heidelberg and start my own group exploring the physics of "Quantum Fluids". Besides physics, I am an outdoor enthusiast with a strong penchant for rock climbing.
