Quark–gluon plasma
Do we understand nuclear matter at extreme conditions of temperature and density? Is a quark–gluon plasma formed? If so, what are its properties?
These are questions driving the field of heavy-ion physics.
I have participated in the WA98 experiment at the CERN SPS and the PHENIX experiment at RHIC. Currently, I am a member of the ALICE collaboration, which focuses on heavy-ion collisions at the LHC.
